We made it home just in time for swimming lessons! We drug sleep-deprived Gus so Harper could show off his new moves...water wings....playing with other kids...toy chasing...and the teacher dipped his face into the water! We always keep his face wet, sprinkle the wet toys over him, let other kids and himself splash him, so he doesn't think it's a bad thing to be wet. But he "jumps in" off of the foam diving board and the teacher just lets his face slap (very gently) the water. His whole head hasn't gone under yet, but this is the beginning of it all! He took it like a champ, twice! No tears, no water up the nose, nothing! I was nervous, but I should've known he'd do great! He always does!
Harper also has two new teeth to show off! His two lower central incisors! #O popped through February 14th and #P came February 20th! He's such a happy boy I had no idea we were so close to cutting teeth! He has had maybe three days to date where I thought he was unhappily teething and we already have two teeth to show for it! Looking at his upper gums, I see signs of more arriving soon! I just hope they come as easily for us as the previous! I can't believe my little man will never be toothless again!
He's sure keeping me on my toes lately! He's sleeping less, and playing more! He tripods so well, I think he's close to sitting unassisted soon! Everything is happening so quickly....I'm trying not to miss a step, and enjoy the time I'm blessed to spend with him. He makes every day just a little bit brighter with his never-ending smiles...I'm so lucky to know him, and to get to love him!
Gus and I even got to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate Valentine's day! My parents watched Harper and when we got home he greeted us with smiles galore, and showed us how he played with the yorkie puppies! He sat on the floor, laughing non-stop at them playing together in front of him. It was a cute sight! Not to mention a little one-on-one time with the husband was nice for a change!
Harper loves helping dad on the computer!
More fun with his bongo drums! Dad plays his guitar while Harper bangs his drums...They're quite the duo (also on video, which I still can't figure out)...Harper takes frequent breaks to chew on them, and watch Dad strum.
Harper is so busy these days, that I hold his basket of toys out in front of him to pick and choose which he wants to play with. Today he decided all of them would do!
This one is mostly for Grandpa Jack...Harper loves to watch his doggies play. He couldn't get enough of Chuck this afternoon. He was putting his hand towards him, squealing, and smiling! He's the cutest!
