Harper has been up to quite a lot since we left for our trip, and I feel the need to list it all out before I forget...He's changing every.single.day and I feel I can no longer keep up...My little baby is growing far too fast...
He has six teeth! June 10th he got his right front tooth, and the 29th of June he got his right lateral!
He began army crawling on June 10th as well...Instead of rolling and reaching and rolling and reaching to get where he needed to go!
Around June 20th he really got the crawling down...He is officially a master getting everywhere as I type!
He eats our food now....(this is a big one for the nursing momma...) We still have some purees for when our meals aren't as balanced as they should be (yikes!), but he loves everything so far...The only thing he hasn't been to wild about was some cottage cheese we had in Park City. But I have to be honest, Gus and I weren't too fond of the flavor either! I'm a crazy momma about his food consumption...organic, healthy, balanced....Do I know I'm not going to have total control over what goes into his perfect, pure little body in the future? Absolutely. But for now, I do. And I'm going to try my hardest to make him want to choose the healthier option...when that time comes. So everything is organic, free range, and mostly gathered by my darling husband (or dad, or brother!). Harper seems to really enjoy elk, and cod fish, as well as tofu?? Who would've thought?! He will munch on most anything I put in front of him!
June 21st as we were leaving Salt Lake City via a dinner with Gus' wonderful Aunt Pam, Richard, and Chris, Harper fed himself!! It was the cutest thing ever! Before, he would follow my hand with his mouth every time he wanted a piece of finger food. He would even go so far as to grab my hand and put it to his mouth! He really is the cutest....
He has been pulling up to stand on everything for the last week or so...He would rather stand than crawl...How did he grow up so quickly??
He is still mimicking and making incredible sounds....
He has found his nose and ears....via his pointer finger!!!
And he still loves swimming!! We can't wait to take him to the lake cabin next week for a reunion between him and that bright red canoe (see back when he was 3 1/2 weeks old..first boat ride)! Although this time I think I'll feel a lot better about going for a ride; we may even let Daddy take us past the dock!
Nap time...for Harper, not me! So off I go...Duty calls!!
I'm working on an update of our travels, and hope to get it up before we leave on Monday!!
