Feeling Guilty...

...I was over at the dining room table during one of Harper's first naps in a long while where I wasn't needed.  I have been doing some Christmas crafting to get ready for the holidays.  It is so much fun, and our dear friends D'Lorah and Heidi Ter Har have such great ideas.  Anyway, there I was covered in glitter, and nursing a blister from a run-in with the hot glue gun and I kept finding myself staring at Gus' computer (mine is still broken...I haven't forgot about Harper's birthday post!)...It was calling me to take a minute for our blog.  So hopefully Gus doesn't mind a little glitter on the Mac!

The weather is really starting to storm over here and it's so cozy.  Harper doesn't quite understand why he can't go outside at play, but he loves to stand in nothing but a diaper and stare out the window. This boy was made for warm climates!  He hates the clothing!!  Which is also why I think he loves water so much too!

Speaking of water...Swimming is still going great.  There seems to be a lot of kids and their parents going these days, so it's nice to see Harper play catch with a buddy or share toys on the stairs.  And it's nice to hear what other moms and dads are going through too!  We've made some really great friends through swimming and I am so grateful for that...And it's so fun to watch him explore and gain confidence as he gets better acquainted with the water!  Uh-oh Harper's awake!

Okay...He's happily munching away at lunch in his high chair...Well last night I was in the bathroom downstairs.  We've been more prone to using doors now that my brother is living with us.  I saw the handle of the door move down a bit...then a little more.  It pulled open and there was Harper!  He had mastered the door.  I covered myself, smiled at Harper as he was grinning wildly after having found his Momma, and yelled for Aaron not to come close!  He was so proud of himself, and it brings on a whole new concern for Gus and I...Like Harper-proofing the toilet lids, and hiding the toilet brushes.  Life was that much easier just twelve hours before!

A few nights ago Aaron was previewing MP3s before he bought them off the internet.  So we were all listening to the music, and dancing around.  Harper loves to dance since we have been attending music class this semester, so he was having fun with his toys bopping around with me.  Aaron got to the song Dynamite by Taio Cruz and Harper looked up at Aaron, did a little dance, and gave him the perfect "a-okay" sign with his hands.  It was plain as day and so cute!  Aaron didn't want the song but had to buy it for Harper after that!  We all had a good laugh!

Anyway, that's all for now.  We are preparing for our annual trip to Sun River this weekend.  We leave Tuesday for the week, and are looking forward to it!  Sounds like we might be in for some snow too!  Cant wait!
