We had such a great time with family in Sun River, Oregon for the week of Thanksgiving. We go with my family every year, and every year we pray for safe travels, but lots of snow! We never get it...But this year was quite different. I am very thankful for La Nina winters which brought us lots of cold weather and lots of snow for Harper's first real extreme weather experience. As always, we ate too much, drank a little, and had a ton of fun!
The night before we left...He's just too cute! Relaxing in the chair with Momma.
Harper's Thanksgiving baby turkey...Okay, it's a chicken, but he's never had poultry before...He's not a huge fan as of yet! He's more into elk and salmon!
Thanksgiving morning with Heidi. While Harper slept in, we went on a run with the temperatures not even in the teens!
After the run Harper was awake and ready to play!
Thanksgiving...He's not camera shy at all!
Gus and I...I think he paused for a picture then went back to watching football!
Uncle Ron and Harper love each other!
Giving my Dad some extra affection...His sister died the day before suddenly...It was a sobering holiday for us...And made us extra grateful for each other.
Harper loved the icicles!
And when Daddy would blow snow in his face!
Correction: in OUR faces! Look at his smile! He was giggling the whole time!
All bundled up with his Momma. He did great with the big coat. I think he associated it with going outside (his favorite place to be, rain or shine!) so he would stick his little arms right in to be zipped up!
Sucking on part of an icicle!
A little blurry, but Harper's first snowball!
Harper's quite the pool shark!
Slight tantrum here...because he can't be happy all of the time!
Uncle Aaron taught Harper how to plug his nose before walking in on people in the bathroom!
Family photo...Yes, my brother is 30, and still messing up our holiday snapshots!
Our favorite place (in front of the fire)
Daddy made Harper his first snowman!
I think the neighbor was using the snowblower, which was pretty exciting for Harper as well!
I just want to kiss his little red nose!
He's such a big boy!
Daddy and Baby with the finished product!
At the lodge in Sun River...
Harper's first look at a Christmas tree this year....Makes me nervous to put ours up!
He loved it!
Us with the grandparents!
Harper and the ladies!
Going with Papa to check out the rest of the decor!
Taking Uncle Aaron for a walk!
Burr!
On the long trek home...Harper loved Aunt Linda's pickled green beans, so she gave us the left overs to keep him happy!
Happy bean boy!
