Harper Gardens and Goes to the County Fair!

I think I mentioned previously that our fabulous friends Garrett and Pamela Parks (Well almost!  They are getting married TOMORROW!!!!) took Harper and I to the county fair a couple weekends ago.  I haven't spent much time there, I think I've been once that I can remember.  It was so much fun looking at all the animals and bright lights at the carnival.  I have a couple photos of Harper enjoying his company, and Harper and I were out tending to our garden this afternoon, and I thought we should take some photos.  I've never had a garden before this year, and I have a container garden.  I love it.  It's a wonderful hobby!  But...I lack experience.  For example....don't plant bell peppers unless you live in sunshine!  And everyone knows what little sun we've had on the coast so far this year!  And second of all, don't plant millions of carrots close together!  But I'm learning and love my little corner of the deck!  Gus has been asking about the garden, so hopefully next time you're in honey, you can check the blog and see for yourself!!

 Bell Peppers...Still standing and growing..which we're proud of.  Not expecting any actual peppers...

 Lemon Cucumber and some chives my mom gave me to add a few weeks ago.  Harper loves to eat chives!

 He also loves anything water...obvious, if anyone has been reading my blog for the last seven months...

 Lettuce variety....the tall stalk is a little embarrassing; I don't know why it shot up like that?  I must have some fertilizer it likes??
