Four Months Old....

Yet another month has passed.  I can't believe my baby is already four months old!  He's maturing so quickly!  Here's a much needed update of things our intelligent little guy has mastered!  I'm probably missing some, but grateful that I am at least listing these!

• We've finally caught his adorable little laughter on video!  He's been laughing for a couple months but usually will only perform for his daddy!  He's just coming around and laughing once in a while for me too!  Just in time...Daddy leaves for Alaska in one week... 
• Harper's already a little traveler...Having been to California before one month old; to Seattle for a holiday celebration with good friends at three months; to Sunriver for Thanksgiving at two months!  Of course many trips to Portland as well!
• Around Mid-December Harper has found his voice!  He's screeching and hollering!  You can tell when he loves something (squeal, kick, kick, smile, coo!) and when he's getting tired or something (his voice gets lower and more serious!)  He's such a little man!
• Thanksgiving morning Harper decided to roll over from tummy to back, and is doing it non stop these days!  We make him attempt it a couple times a day.  As far as rolling back to tummy, he seems interested, but will get to his side, and hang there for a bit!
• We've seen photos already, but on December 2, Harper met his Due Date Buddy, Ethan!  First play date!  We had tons of fun!
• Again Mid-December, Harper began putting EVERYTHING straight into his mouth!  We think he's beginning to teethe!  Lots of drool.  He'll reach for all his toys, but will only reach out right in front of him (not to the left or right) and straight to the mouth they go!  If he wants something and it's not within reach, he'll still reach with his arms, and put his hands in his mouth!  It's super cute!
• About a month ago (early December), Harper learned to cough!  Now he'll do it ALL of the time! Then he'll smile afterwards!  He loves the sounds he's learning to make, and it's so wonderful to watch him discover himself!
• December 8, Harper grabbed his rattle for the first time!
• Harper is a great sleeper.  Goes down for the night between 8 and 9pm and wakes up once usually around 1 or 2am, then he's out until about 8am!  As far as naps go, he will take 3-4 throughout the day and we are lucky if they last an hour!  Sometimes he'll surprise us, but he's pretty predictable!
