Three Weeks Without Daddy...

Harper and I have made it to the halfway point of this fishing season!  Three weeks down, three to go!  I really feel like we're in sync by now!  We've got fun things all week, and they're flying by...well the daylight hours are!  Harper has been waking up about every three hours lately, and I have been waking up about every one to two!  I think we both need our man of the house back!  When Gus calls I often put him on speaker phone because it's just the two of us at the house and I want Harper to be around his voice.  During these conversations Harper will just stare at the phone so intently.  He'll grin from time to time as well.  He acts as if he knows that his daddy is close, but can't figure out where he is...It makes me feel like he misses his Daddy, and I love to watch him listen to him talk!

We're still swimming two days a week.  He still loves it!  His great-grandparents came to watch for a few minutes last week.  Hal and Helen loved to see him so content in the water!  We're also busy with play dates and mommy friends visiting!  Harper met a new friend this last Friday.  Asher Hofseth is an 8 month old!  He lives in Manzanita, and Mommy and Daddy went to high school with Asher's mommy!  The boys had fun together and it was so comforting talking with another mom who has a baby a little older than Harper.  There was lots of reassurance, understanding, and she really validated my thoughts.  We hope to spend more time with the Hofseth's in the near future!

Two of my best friends came down for the weekend to keep Harper and I company!  We had a great time visiting and catching up, and feeling like an adult again!  Kristi and Meags were so great with Harper and our threesome has shifted into quite the perfect little foursome!  It's so nice knowing I have such great friends who will take a weekend out of their fun, single, big city lives to spend with me and my little man.

So Harper's fourth month is the month of finding his voice and his tongue!  I'm having a hard time uploading video on my Mac...I need my husband for that!  But we have great video of him playing with his tongue and squealing up a storm!  I'll figure it out sooner or later!  (Before his fifth month begins, I hope!)

My heart continues to overflow with love and adoration for this baby.  I never imagined I could love this much...
Harper working that tongue!  He's too cute!
Harper and I; Erin and Asher!
Harper and Asher checking each other out!  They would randomly smile at each other.  Too cute!
Hand holding!!
His latest FAVORITE!  He's only allowed in it for thirty minutes per day, but I think if it were up to him, he'd spend all his waking hours just like this!
