Wednesday we had lunch at my friend Jan's home who is down from Portland. Harper lights up when he sees Jan so it's really fun to watch them together. It doesn't help that she's an incredible cook! After that Harper was tired from all the fun!
Today....we got up and went to Harper's first swimming lesson!! It was so much fun! For all of us! He lasted about thirty-five minutes and my mom came with us to help and of course photograph! Grandma Joanne showed up on her way to work, and Grandpa Randy even came by for a few minutes! It was so cool to see him kick around and splash. There were two other little girls about two years old. They were having tons of fun, and Harper loved to watch them jump in and float! The swim teacher taught me how to roll him around and run him on his back and belly. She was much better at it than I, but I promised Harper we'd practice so he could have as much fun when I am holding him! He loved it, but I think got tired of holding his head up for so long! So we slipped into the hot tub (as instructed by the swim teacher) and warmed him up before changing into his sleeper. He fell right to sleep on my shoulder in the hot tub! And he slept the whole way home! I called Gus right away to tell him all about it! I was so proud of him, and I think he really enjoyed it! We can't wait for next week!
