Avocados...

...So far, he's not too interested...He makes a funny face.  Last night was his first attempt at the fruit.  I am not sure if we'll keep at it, or move onto peas tomorrow!  Yesterday was also his first day eating two times. I wasn't going to feed him dinner as it was close to his bedtime, but he saw me eating part of an orange and he began sticking his tongue out at me, which is how he's been communicating to me that he wants a bite of his oatmeal.  So I couldn't leave him hanging!  I ran to the fridge and mashed up a little avocado and let him have it!  I'm not sure if the texture was too different, or if it was just because it resembled NOTHING of breastmilk?  Possibly the issue was the fact that it was cold, and he's never had anything that temperature??  Who knows...we'll keep at it and see where it takes us!

He's still swimming up a storm.  Tuesdays and Thursdays, we haven't missed a day yet!  He makes me so proud.  The teacher says he's good at it, which I wouldn't know, and he'll be dunking himself all the way in in no time.  Just two more months until he's capable of floating with the arm floaties without mom touching him...He's growing up so fast!

Gus and I are thinking of fun ways to get him out of the house, to teach him more about the world we live in, while keeping him from highly populated places (per pedi request), all the while keeping it low budget but super beneficial to the three of us....Any ideas??!  We're in the process of making a baby bucket list for Harper...Things we want to do with him, or teach him, in his first few years of life!  We'd love input!  Once we get a list compiled, I'll share!

The tongue that tells me he is ready for a taste!
Harper playing...he is practicing sitting up!
Harper reads by taste!
First bite of avocado....
Hmmmm.....It feels different.....
....I don't think he is too fond of it yet!
All ready for bed after his first two-meal day...It's hard work figuring out this big, crazy world...
