We've had a very busy week!!

The sun has been out, and we've had lots going on!  Last Friday, we had a play date with a good friend of Uncle Aaron's!  Beth has a four year old, and a four month old!  Both gorgeous little girls!  Harper had a great time!  It was funny to see such cute, well dressed, petite little ladies and compare them with Harper and all his chubbiness, and his pants that don't even zip and button comfortably!  So there they were, dressed with bows atop their heads and Harper got comfortable by taking his pants off!

After we got home from there our good friends Kenna and Grace stopped in to play with some toys.  Grace turned one a couple months ago, and we hadn't seen her since.  She's way more mobile than the last visit, she talks more, and interacts so much with her momma.  Harper had such a busy day, and naps were few!  We ended it by having some adult friends over for a bbq.  Harper was having so much fun with all the added attention (he was a hit by our single friends, which was cool for us to watch!) he was exhausted by the end of the day!

The next morning we took our yorkie, Lily, to the vet to talk about her behavioral issues since Harper had come home...anti-anxiety meds are in her near future...and for the record, we're trying a natural option first, so don't think I'm a horrible dog mom!  And Harper heard a 3 1/2 year old scream at her mommy (the veterinarian) for BOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIEEEEE! for about 45 minutes.  He was intrigued.  I think he thought that if he could just get the words out, he'd get more "boobie" than he currently does.  I was thankful for two things... one being, in our home we call them, "milkies", and secondly,  Harper can't ask for them with his words just yet!
Harper watching Lily as they both play!  I hope they're friends someday....

Mommy also got to go to her first happy hour with a couple girlfriends Friday evening!  We went to the local wine bar, and I got about an hour or so to focus on me.  I had so much fun, and the best part was that Daddy and Harper were having tons of fun at home playing while I was gone!

The beginning of the week brought surf trips to Short Sands in the beautiful weather, more swimming lessons of course, and surf-hunting at the cove, and the point!  Harper loves watching the ocean.  It's such a cool thing to watch him take it all in. What an incredible world we live in.  One where my little baby can watch something so strong and powerful as the Pacific Ocean with such wonder.  I think I'm in heaven!
Harper and I on our way back from Short Sands!
Here is Harper with a little help from Daddy and friend Kris at the point playing in their surf shack!

Daddy is helping Harper "cruise"... And Gus is very excited about this!  It's sort of their thing, and pretty cute at that!
How can you not love a little man with a monkey on his heiny with bright red Vans to top it off!  I'm in love!

And lastly, just yesterday, Dad had his cheap work sunglasses lying around, so I put them on Harper, and he instantly began smiling.  I think he thought he was pretty cool being just like daddy!  So cute.  It makes me smile just thinking about it.
Instant smile...!
Mommy thinks I look good, I'm going to smile a little bigger!
Too silly...
I ran to the kitchen during play time with Harper, and came back to find him in his collapsed activity center!  He's getting so big, he pulled it right over himself.  I should take the toy and put it away for safe keeping, but he just loves it so much!!  I thought he was pretty cute.  He seemed proud of himself!  He's definitely all boy!
This one was from St. Patrick's Day...He's such a happy babe...

Wow...Look at that tongue!  I was taking the picture without looking, just snapping some candids...This one was a surprise!!
He's starting to explore his world more upright!

  1. There's totally a theme here...No pants! The boy detests them on most occasions....For those who are worried, we do have a family rule: We have to have pants on in order to leave the house!
