On another note, the boy LOVES his sippy cup! He doesn't really drink the water, but he loves to hold it and chew on it. If I lay him back in my lap he'll "drink" his water, but spit it right out onto his bib, or down his neck. It's pretty cute and a fun new toy for him! We'll get to the logistics of it in the near future! I'm not at all interested in rushing anything he doesn't seem to really want to do...which leads me to Sunday morning.....
We attempted cereal again. I was going to wait a few days, or a week, but my mom suggested trying again the very next day. So I got everything ready, and gave Gus a go to feed him. Gus had airplane sounds and lots of fun noises that accompanied his oatmeal! Harper loved that the most. He ate the food, or some of it. Again probably only eight or ten spoonfuls went to his mouth, but he at least did it with bright eyes and an occasional smile directed at daddy's noises! So, I guess it was a success...We haven't got to the vegetables yet...I'm thinking avocado to start! Again, I'm taking it slow...Most likely more for me than for him...
Encouraging Harper to "scoot"..He's not so interested. There's so much pressure to do so many things once they turn six months!
He's an unassisted sitter!
Grandma and Grandpa Strickland got our little man a swing for out on their deck. He likes to watch the dogs from it.
Harper with his sippy cup!
His second day on the oatmeal...first bite.
He likes to help himself with his own hands!
He's so helpful...
Oatmeal is okay, but Daddy is funny!
This photo is for our cousins in Chicago! Harper's favorite toy is his Skwish! Mommy loves it too because the sounds it makes (being wood) are audibly friendly! Plus, he's pretty stinking cute here anyway!
