I can't believe my little man is eight months old. He's super active, always on the move, and weighs over 22 pounds already?!! Where has the time gone?? He's so different than he was just a few months ago. He's affectionate. Gives hugs (he saves most of them for his momma), high fives, is working on mastering the art of waving, and even pretend fusses to get a reaction from Gus and I! He scrunches his nose when he's happy, and when he's sad. He comes up with new noises every day to express himself and he loves listening to them as much as I do! He loves to be outside (when this crazy Oregon weather allows), and after his parents, and close family, he saves the rest of his love for his dogs! He loves Charlie and Lily! I just can't believe how his little personality grows and grows each day. I just love my little man...
He didn't sleep well last night, and woke up at his normal time this morning, so swimming seemed like a bad idea from the get-go...Usually Harper is all smiles when he reaches the pool, so we gave it a go anyway. The teacher was back from vacation, so since he's eight months now he's strong enough to float on his own with water wings...(can you believe it??!) On they went, and he got a little overwhelmed. He didn't chew on them like he used to despite the sogginess of his top front gums (those two front teeth are giving him a hard time!), and usually he dips his face into the water all the time and has no problem. Today with the sleepiness, the addition of the water wings, and the face dip, it was all just too much for him to handle. He cried and cried like he's never cried in the pool. The poor teacher was a little sad, as she felt like Harper didn't remember her. All in all, not the best day in the pool for the babe...But I'm sure next Tuesday will be better!
Harper and I on Tuesday playing with his toys. I went to the gym, worked out, picked up Harper from my parents' house, and was told that our guys had gone crabbing and were having a dinner at my brothers....So there we went...sweaty (me), sleepy (Harper), and not dressed appropriately (both!)...Just before Harper falls asleep for the night he gets silly. He laughs at EVERYTHING. It's hilarious, not to mention incredibly cute. He was mimicking his Momma playing with his rattles, and loving every second of it!!
He's too funny!
Cheap comedy!
Momma needs a shower, but she's still pretty funny...
I love that smile.
No, THAT'S my favorite smile!!
Sleepy eyes...
One last smile for the evening.
I'm 8 months old today, and I'm very serious about this.
