This boy copies everything!! He obviously isn't copying our words yet, but he copies the sounds we make to him! We also shake our head back and forth (as in the motion of saying "no") and make a funny noise, then we stop, and he repeats! He'll do it from his car seat while I am driving, and of course face to face! It's pretty fun to see him catching on so well! We're still working on "mama" and "dada"....He's got the hang of them, but I'm not sure he knows what they mean yet! Gus also takes his feet (he's always done this) and claps them together. Now when Harper is lying on his back he takes his own feet and claps them! He's growing up so quickly!
We finger painted last Thursday! It didn't last long, but it was pretty fun for a change. Photos to come! Also, last Thursday Gus came swimming with us! It was so much fun! Harper is getting used to him being in the water and we were able to play with Harper together. Gus is a lot more rough and tough with him than I, so I think that's good too! He's going under water a lot now, and doesn't seem to mind! He's back to hating water wings which is a bummer, because he's supposed to be able to float with them now! Oh well, we'll keep working at it!!
Lastly, our tooth count is up to three! It's definitely in, and he sure is grinding them together! The awfulness of that sound is something I think will haunt me for years to come! I have a feeling it'll only get worse with the addition of more teeth, but he's just too cute not to look past it!! These past eight months have flown by (I know, I'm sounding like a broken record) and we continue to fall in love with Harper more every single day.....!
